ರವಿಕೃಷ್ಣಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾವೇಕೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಬೇಕು?

Dear Krishna Reddy   I commend you for the courage of conviction you have demonstrated contesting in this Karnataka election.  And I wish you the best. and quick recovery from the  effects of the Hunger strike. I think your Moulyagraha concept is brilliant in getting attention as a fresh face and getting your message across. I like the word Moulyagraha.. Mahatma Gandhi"s Satyagraha was the right slogan pre -1947 and I think. Moulygraha is very appropriate now although 60 years late.  Better late than never, as they say.  I am pleased that you are getting support from the IT professionals.  Since I cannot vote as an NRI, I have already started canvassing with my friends and relatives to vote for our friend Krishna Reddy.  I was surprised and disappointed to learn that some of them, though living in Jayanagar 1st and   2nd blocks, can not vote for you either, because of  jurisdictional reasons. They come under Chikkapete constituency! I take this opportunity to answer the two that have commented  before me, Messrs.  DJ & Narayana.  I believe both of them will appreciate your candidacy better and likely  become converts once they get to know you better and learn at least about   how and why you founded   the Vikranta Karnataka weekly and its impact on Karnataka.. Knowing you in San Jose, CA, I suspect you have already attempted to reach out to them. Next, I would like to remind the two gentlemen that, NRIs have and can serve India very effectively from the distance. The history of India"s independence itself is testimony to that fact.  Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, V.K.Krishna  Menon etc, all honed their political and leadership skills as NRIs! I personally knew several members of the GADAR MOVEMENT in San Francisco that fought for India"s independence, long before the residents in India did . Many of the GADARITES   paid dearly for that but helped draw world attention to India"s plight under the British. How many can match Swamy Vivekananda"s  work as an NRI ? Personally, over the past 44 years, as an NRI, I believe  I have served India better than I could have, had I lived anywhere in India. Just a few examples: During the Bangladesh war, I helped raise public awareness. Americans  did know India that well then  and  Bangladesh, not at all.  I received a $500.00 personal donation from the US Ambassador Kenneth Keating himself! I had luckily  cultivated his friendship shortly  after arriving in the US . I was one of the seven founders of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) that has greatly helped enhance  the mage of  India/Bengaluru, for its IT prowess. I invite Messrs DJ  & Narayana to visit our Silicon Valley  NRI  community  and experience firsthand the living  glory of  Kannada, Karnataka & Hindusthani  Sangeetha, Bharata Natya and the success of  Kanadigas, all that indirectly benefit Karnataka and India. Records reflect my and other Kannadiga  NRI"s leadership roles in all of that and more.  I have watched Sri.. Krishna Reddy mature in this environment which I  believe will  help him serve Karnataka well. Please help him get elected. Thank you. G.S.Satya, San Jose, CA
